يحتاج بعض الأشخاص أحيانًا عدّة حواسب للتمكن من إنهاء المهام الموكلة إليهم سواء في العمل البرمجي أو مجال التصميم وبناء المواقع وتجربتها، ولن يكون من السهل أبدًا الانتقال ما بين 3 أو 4 لوحات مفاتيح للقيام بذلك إلا باستخدام برنامج مساعد.
فيما يلي طريقة ربط حاسوبين بنظام تشغيل ويندوز أو أكثر بلوحة مفاتيح واحدة وفأرة واحدة بالاعتماد على برنامج Input Director لاستخدام وتحكم أسهل وأسرع:
- قم بتحميل وتثبيت برنامج Input Director على الحواسب التي تريد الربط فيما بينها.
- تثبيت البرنامج بسيط ولا يحتاج للشرح.
- بعد فتح واجهة البرنامج الرئيسية اذهب إلى اللسان Global Preference وتأكد أن البرنامج يعمل عند بدء تشغيل ويندوز بتفعيل خيار Run Input Director on Startup.
- يمكن التحكم بإعدادات النسخ والمؤثرات المرئية لمؤشر الفأرة وتغيير المنفذ الذي يتصل عليه البرنامج. (يجب التأكد بأن الجدار الناري لنظام التشغيل لا يُعيق الوصول عبر المنفذ الافتراضي لبرنامج Input Director 31234).
- اذهب إلى اللسان Main واضغط على المستطيل Enable As Master.
- اذهب إلى اللسان Master Configuration واضغط على Add لتعيين عنوان IP الجهاز الفرعي أو اسمه.
- أبقِ المنفذ كما هو؛ 31234، في حال لم يتم تغييره من واجهة الإعدادات.
- يمكن وضع مفتاح اختصار مباشر للانتقال إلى الجهاز الرئيسي بالضغط على Set Hotkey.
- سيظهر اسم الجهاز أو عنوان IP الخاص به في المستطيل الأبيض Slaves Systems مع وجود إشارة باللون الأخضر إلى جانبه.
- يجب تحديد موضع شاشة الجهاز الفرعي مع شاشة الجهاز الرئيسي لتكون مناسبة كما هي على الواقع لتسهيل الاستخدام.
- اذهب إلى اللسان Slave Configuration واضغط على Add لتعيين عنوان IP الجهاز الرئيسي أو اسمه.
- قُم بإدخال عنوان IP الجهاز الرئيسي أو اسمه واضغط OK، ثم انتظر قليلًا ريثما تحصل على الاستجابة لضمان جاهزية الجهاز.
- يمكن تنصيب البرنامج على عدّة أجهزة ووضع عنوان IP الجهاز الرئيسي أو اسمه Master System ضمن البرنامج على كل جهاز ليصبح التنقل بين الأجهزة جميعها ممكنًا.
يمكن معرفة اسم الجهاز على نظام تشغيل ويندوز 7 باتباع الخطوات التالية:
- اضغط بالزر اليميني على أيقونة “جهاز الكومبيوتر” My Computer.
- اضغط على آخر خيار وهو “خصائص” Properties.
- يمكن رؤية “اسم الجهاز” Computer Name في منتصف النافذة الجديدة التي تم فتحها.
طبعًا وبكل تأكيد يجب أن تكون كل الأجهزة التي تريد التحكم بها بفأرة واحدة ولوحة مفاتيح واحدة متصلة عبر شبكة سكلية كانت أم لاسكلية، حيث يمكن إنشاء واحدة باتباع الطريقة التي قمنا بشرحها سابقًا تحت عنوانه

Go to the tongue Slave Configuration, and press the Add to assign IP master device name or address.
