أعلن يانوس فريس، المؤسس والشريك السابق لخدمة سكايب، اليوم عن إطلاق نسخة الويب من تطبيق واير Wire والذي تم إطلاقه أواخر العام الماضي.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة لتيح لمستخدمي متصفحات كروم وفايرفوكس وأوبرا إمكانية إجراء المكالمات الصوتية، في حين أن مستخدمي متصفحي إنترنت إكسبلورر وسفاري سيتمكنون فقط من الدردشة النصية في الفترة الراهنة.
ومن شأن خدمة واير الجديدة على الويب أيضاً تمكين المستخدمين من إنشاء ومغادرة محادثات جماعية بالإضافة إلى إمكانية حجب المستخدمين.
ويعد التطبيق الجديد مساهمة في تطوير تطبيقات التراسل مثل سكايب، لتشمل تحسينات في طرق معاجلة ملفات العروض المرئية وملفات الصوتيات وغيرها. ويتميز تطبيق واير ببساطة في التصميم، وهو ما يمثل عامل جذب لقطاع واسع من المستخدمين.
ويعمل لدى شركة “واير”، التي تتخذ من مدينة زوج السويسرية مقراً لها، فريق عمل مميز له باع طويل في الاتصالات. ويضم فريق العمل شخصيات عملت في السابق في شركات آبل وسكايب ونوكيا ومياكروسوفت.
ويتوفر تطبيق واير في نسخ متعددة بما فيها نسخة الويب، والهواتف الذكية والأجهزة اللوحية العاملة بنظامي أندرويد وiOS.
